How to Identify
an Empty Property

People like you are earning cash rewards by simply spotting and sharing empty properties while going about their daily routines - on the school run, walking the dog, commuting to work, out for a run, or just out and about.

Keep an eye out for these tell-tale signs...

OVERGROWN GARDEN

If you see a garden that's overgrown, it could mean the property is unattended and possibly empty.

PERMANENTLY CLOSED
CURTAINS

Curtains that are never opened suggest nobody's home.

PEELING PAINT

Look for old, flaking paint on the exterior - a sign of long-term neglect.

ROOF IN DISREPAIR

Damaged or missing tiles on the roof can indicate an abandoned property.

EMPTY DRIVEWAY

A consistently unused driveway might mean an empty house.

PILED UP MAIL

An overflowing mailbox or packages at the door signal that no one's around.

UTILITY NOTICES

Utility disconnection notices or final reminder bills stuck to the door could mean the property has been vacated.

NO LIGHTS ON AT NIGHT

A property that remains dark night after night could be unoccupied.

DUST & COBWEBS

A buildup of dust on windows or cobwebs around the entrance suggests a lack of maintenance.

BOARDED WINDOWS
OR DOORS

Houses with boarded-up windows or doors are often empty.

VEHICLES

A reliable sign is cars on the drive that appear not to have moved for months or even years.

Review

In January this year I contacted Simon after seeing a post on LinkedIn – it said something about reporting empty properties 🤷‍♂️. The day before, I’d just had a meeting with the lads I work with delivering leaflets door to door around Lincoln and the surrounding areas. We were saying how there seemed to be a noticeable rise in empty homes compared to this time last year. None of it made sense – we keep hearing there’s not enough housing for younger people.

I spoke to Simon and honestly, it sounded too good to be true. All we had to do was report properties that looked empty via WhatsApp or email – perfect for us as it doesn’t take us away from our normal job and literally takes seconds.

In the last 3 months all the lads have made extra money doing this, and I’ve personally earned over £300. I’m saving it up until the end of the year to pay for a family holiday. Simon, Jonathan and Austin are always on the end of the phone if we have any questions. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a simple way to earn extra money.

Paul Dixon, whose sharp eyes and smarter thinking have already earned him over £300 just for spotting long-term empty homes.
