We're looking for something a little different...
Empty Property Hunters is working with specialist providers of Assisted Living Accommodation and we're searching for suitable properties across a very specific list of locations. These aren't your typical empty homes.
We're looking for larger, previously residential buildings that could be given a new purpose providing supported, independent living.
What are we looking for?
Our requirements are very specific – both in terms of the property and its location. It's a YES to:
Closed or former care homes
Former HMOs that are now empty
Closed hostels
Empty hotels
buildings used for residential accommodation
Ideally, we're looking for properties of around 3,000–7,000 sq ft, generally comprising a medium-to-large detached or semi-detached building with the potential for multiple bedrooms and communal living space.

What is Assisted Living?
Assisted living gives adults with special educational needs the opportunity to live as independently as possible, while having the appropriate level of care and supervision available on site.
Residents have their own space and independence, with tailored support available for everyday life, developing social skills and accessing the wider community.
The must-haves
There are a few things we can't compromise on. Every property must:
Be in reasonable to excellent condition
Have a complete and intact roof
Have no significant fire or water damage
Have a garden or suitable private outdoor space
Have off-street parking
Have excellent access to public transport and local transport links
Be within easy reach of shops, services and local amenities
Be within or close to a town centre
Be within one of our specific target areas
This isn't a search for derelict buildings or major renovation projects. Some modernisation and refurbishment is absolutely fine, but the property needs to be fundamentally sound. Buildings with missing or seriously damaged roofs, substantial fire damage, major water damage or extensive structural deterioration won't be suitable.
Location, location, location.
Location is just as important as the building itself.
Rural or isolated properties aren't suitable. Residents need to be able to access the wider community as independently as possible, so properties must be well connected, accessible and within easy reach of public transport and everyday amenities.
Unlike our usual Empty Property Hunters searches, we can't consider properties outside of the areas listed for this requirement.

Spotted something?
Perhaps it's an old care home you pass every day. A former HMO that's been sitting empty. A closed hostel. Or a small hotel that shut its doors and never reopened.
If it fits our requirements, it could have a very different future ahead of it – providing much-needed homes and greater independence for the people who live there.
And, of course, our usual Empty Property Hunters rewards apply. You'll receive a £20 reward for a qualifying lead and if we go on to purchase the property, our usual 1% Finder's Fee of the purchase price.
So a £500,000 property could mean a £5,000 Finder's Fee.
A building that's sitting empty today could provide much-needed homes and independence tomorrow and earn you a very worthwhile reward for spotting it.
