Empty Property Hunters has been featured again in the Daily Mail, revealing the UK's top 10 areas with the most empty homes — and the results may surprise you.

Topping the list is the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, where an estimated 2,000 properties (around 2.8% of all dwellings) currently sit unoccupied. It's a striking finding for one of London's most prestigious commuter boroughs, where average house prices sit at £572,000 and a detached home can cost over £1.26 million.

Behind the affluent façade, homes are quietly gathering dust, including one on Canbury Park Road that has stood empty for around a decade, its interior piled high with belongings left to gather dust.

The list spans the length and breadth of the country, from the exclusive streets of Kensington and Chelsea (2nd) to Burnley, the nation's most affordable place to buy, where a two-bed terrace has been boarded up since the death of its owner. From Liverpool to Scarborough, Hartlepool to Hastings, empty homes are everywhere.
